Planted, Not Buried

Joshua Tree in Seven -

I speak to a man with more stories than teeth.

Locals don’t wear fringe or cowboy hats, but LA visitors do.

Humbled by the classics, sandpaper granite wears down my ego.

30 mph winds rattle the windows and a 1/2 inch of rain in the desert feels apocalyptic.

A speed limit is more of a suggestion in some places.

There’s a difference between solitude, isolation, and loneliness.

Sometimes when you think you’re buried, you’re really being planted.
